Guava / Amrood Chutney !!

Guava chutney is also known as Amrood ki chutney. Guava is the most common Indian fruit, found in almost every part of India. It is said to be as useful as apple for the people having stomach problem. Guava can be seve alone as a fruit with salt or green chutney. But, its chutney gives a very delightful flavour and is very heathy . Guava /Amrood chutney is not a popular chutney, but this taste amazing .This is no where less then the coriander chutney and Mint chutney .

Ingredients for the Chutney :

3 medium sized ripe Guava (Amrood)
4 green chillies, chopped (or to taste )
1 table-spoon ginger, grated (Optional)
1 table-spoon lemon or lime juice
2 table-spoon Cilantro/ coriander leaves, chopped ( I did not use any )

Salt to taste

How to make Guava chutney:

Cut guava into 4 pieces and remove its seeds, chop them into pieces.
Take a grinder and add all the ingredients including chopped guavas. Grind them well to form a thick paste. Add little water if needed.
Guava chutney is ready to eat.

NOTE :

Guava chutney can be served as dips too along with chips . It is good to serve even with the sandwich. Whether guava chutney is prepared with raw guava or the riped guava, the taste is same. One can actually smell Guava in the chutney.
