Coriander & Mint Chutney ….


This Chutney is used as a condiment with grilled or fried food, but may be used a spread or dip too. This chutney is a blend of coriander, mint, chilies and lemon juice with different spices used in different homes and regions of the country.

Prep time: 10 min


Cilantro/Dhaniya/Coriander – big bunch
Fresh Mint leaves 1/2 cup
Green chilies – 5-6 or to taste
Roasted Cumin Powder – 1 tsp ( optional )
Lime/Lemon Juice – 1 tbsp or to taste
Salt – to taste
water as needed to make the chutney of a pesto consistency



Remove the tough stalks of the fresh herbs.
Add all the ingredients into a blender and blend to a smooth paste.
Keep pushing down the chutney to help with the grinding process.
Add the Lemon/ lime right at the end to preserve the green color
Store in the refrigerator or freeze till ready to consume.

Note :

Stored in an airtight container, the chutney will stay good in the refrigerator for up to a week. The extra may also be frozen. The frozen chutney usually changes to a deeper green color, but there is no change of taste. Thaw and use the chutney.
