honey glazed carrots….


Day 5 of Navratri & I am bored cooking , so bringing to you all one of my all time favorite “honey glazed carrots” . I especially love them for their hot and sweet and sour flavor & these carrots are quick and easy to prepare, + they make a great side dish for a family meal or holiday dinner. My kids especially love them as a side with roasted chicken .


Salt / Rock salt to taste
1 pound baby carrots
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons honey or Brown sugar
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Fresh black pepper powder 1 tsp
Red chili flakes 1 tsp
1/4 cup chopped flat-leaf parsley / corriender

Directions :

In a pan , bring water to a boil. Add salt and then carrots and cook until tender, around 5 to 6 minutes. Drain the carrots and add back to pan with butter, honey and lemon juice. Cook until a glaze coats the carrots, 5 minutes. Season with salt , pepper and chili flakes & garnish with parsley / coriander leaves …
