Serves : 4
4 large boiled potatoes
3 medium Tomatoes chopped
4 Green chilies/hari mirch ,chopped
3 TBS chopped cilantro /coriander
1 tsp Turmeric powder/haldi
2 tsp Chili powder /lal mirch
1 tsp Coriander powder/Dhaniya powder
Salt as per taste
1 tbs Cooking oil or ghee
1/2 tsp Cumin seeds/jeera
1/2 tsp Asafetida /hing
Peel and coarsely mash potatoes with your hand..
Heat oil in a pan. Ones hot add cumin seeds and let them splutter . Now add hing to the oil .
Add mashed potatoes along with tomatoes and green chillies .
Add all the dry spices, 1 1/2 tbs coriander leaves and 3 cups of water in the pan.
Mix well and let the potatoes and tomatoes ocook on medium heat for about 7-8 minutes or till the gravy thickens .
Switch off the flame and add chopped coriander leaves ..
Serve hot with Khasta Khachori , poori , parathas , steamed rice or any bread of your choice .
